mmu 1A celebration of new talent at the MMU

This year’s celebratory event for the end of the MA Landscape Architecture not only included the usual exhibition of work by students and practices from the region but also the culmination of the Paxton Parks Competition, with an exhibition of shortlisted entries and award ceremony.

The event included keynote speakers Tilman Latz and Jo Gibbons (two of the Paxton Competition Judges) discussing the theme of Paxton and the Future of the Urban Park within the UK.

Practices were invited to provide boards illustrating work relating to public parks as a reflection of the ways in which the profession contributes to their creation, regeneration, redesign, management and conservation.

The event also provided lunch and a drinks reception with plenty of networking opportunities.

Hardscape, together with urban lighting experts Lec-Lyon, were proud to be joint sponsors of the event to encourage new talent into the industry and commercial marketplace.
