Landscape schemes which showcase the best of the profession's work were recognised at the Landscape Institute Awards on Thursday 19th November 2009. More than 500 people attended the event with award categories covering landscape design, planning, science and research. Environmentalist Jonathon Porritt presented the awards. Hardscape sponsored and presented the Design 1-5HA category handing the winning scheme to Kinnear Landscape Architects, London for the scheme at Normand Park in Fulham. Hardscape were further delighted to be associated with a Commended scheme in the Communication and Presentation category for Burscough, Lancashire and a Highly Commended scheme in the Design 1-5HA category for Cockermouth Market Place (BCA Landscape) together with a Highly Commended scheme at George Bancroft Park, Blackpool in the Design Over 5HA category (EDAW AECOM). Several guests from various landscape practices and local authority landscape departments throughout the UK were invited to join Hardscape for the prestigious annual event.
