Civic Trust Awards 2009 Winners Announced
The Civic Trust Awards are unique. They recognise the best in the built environment, from architecture to planning, townscape to infrastructure – but they are about so much more than this. They recognise the public realm in its wider context, and the continuing belief that development should be for the benefit of people – those who use it. Over 100 buildings and public spaces have received Awards, Commendations and Mentions in the 50th anniversary Civic Trust Awards 2009. The winners were announced to an audience of over 480 at the Emirates Stadium, London on 18th March 2009. The 50th anniversary celebration was hosted by Griff Rhys Jones, President of the Civic Trust.
