With major advancements in production techniques coupled with a passion to have a 'can do' attitude, bespoke art features can now be offered by Hardscape to compliment any paving design scheme.

Artscape embraces all the latest CAD techniques. The initial concept is interpreted and a computer-generated drawing submitted for approval. Choices are made of materials and colours with Hardscape's expert advice available to you if required. There are no restrictions on design detail, or material type as our fabrication system includes state-of-the-art cutting equipment which will cope with anything from pavers and bricks to stone, concrete, glass and plastics. Cut elements are fabricated to the original size with epoxy resin to provide strength of units and systemised laying.

Literally any feature can be created – logos, coats of arms, mazes, abstract or graphic representations – there are virtually no limits! Just provide Hardscape with anything from an idea or a simple sketch to a finished technical drawing and we will do the rest!.

Waterjet Cutting

The advantages of the waterjet process extend beyond its cost competitiveness with other cutting techniques. Waterjet allows for the fabrication of many materials for which there are no effective alternative methods. Waterjet also offers advantages for cutting complex shapes and intricate designs, not otherwise economically achievable. Waterjet can be used to cut an almost unlimited number of materials from solid metals to resilient granites.

Waterjet cutting is by a high velocity fluid jet. Operating pressures are up to 3200 Bar generated by an intensifier pump giving a velocity at the work piece greater than twice the speed of sound! The jet is created by a sapphire or diamond orifice, the size of which is dependant on the material being cut.

Etching
